The Houston Astros look to start the 2014 season off at 2-0 as they were able to take the opener 6-2 over the New York Yankees on Tuesday.  Houston was able to spoil the final opener for the storied Yankee Derek Jeter as he managed just one hit while being plunked by starter Scott Feldmen in his first at-bat.  That being said, the butterflies are gone, and now the teams can both get into the flow of the regular season.  For New York, it's about putting the first game in the past, while the Astros hope to keep a good thing rolling.

Houston has not started a season 2-0 since 2003, and it will attempt to do so behind the young right-hander Jarred Cosart.  Cosart (pictured on the right) made 10 starts as a rookie last year and was 1-1 with a 1.95 ERA en route to being named the Astros' Rookie of the Year by the Houston chapter of the Baseball Writers' Association of America.  The righty, who will turn 24 on May 25th, posted the lowest ERA by an Astros pitcher in his first 10 starts.

First pitch for today's game is set for 7:10pm from Minute Maid Park in Houston.  These teams will wrap up the opening series of the season on Thursday.
