The Houston Astros Fall 3-2 to the Atlanta Braves

The Houston Astros have now lost eight of their last ten games after last night's 3-2 loss at the hands of the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday night.  "We had our chances," manager Bo Porter said.  "Just were not able to get the big hit.  From an offensive standpoint, you run the bases well, you get guys on, but at the end of the day you have to find a way to drive them in, and we were not able to do that tonight.  It was the difference in the ballgame."

George Springer (pictured on the right) started the nine-game home stand with an offensive spark, launching the eighth-longest homer hit by an Astros player at Minute Maid Park 441 feet to center field.  Houston would accumulate eight hits as a team in the game, but left ten runners on base including going 1-10 with runners in scoring position.

Scott Feldman was on the mound for Houston as he went six innings while giving up three runs on four hits along with five strikeouts.  His biggest problem in last night's game was the Upton brothers.  B.J. Upton homered in the third and Justin Upton followed suit in the fourth which accounted for two of the three runs that Feldman gave up.  With the loss, Scott Feldman fell to 3-5 on the year with a 4.0 ERA.

Houston will continue their mid-week series against Atlanta tonight as they try and get back in the win column.  First pitch for this game is set for 7:10pm from Minute Maid Park in Houston and you can hear all the action right here on Sports Radio 1340 the FAN.
