The Carolina Panthers Take Down The Houston Texans 28-13
The Houston Texans lost a tough one to the Carolina Panthers 28-13. The Texans trailed 21-0 at halftime, before closing the deficit to eight in the third quarter. The Panthers have been known to give up leads all season, as they have had leads in 13 of their 14 games, yet are only 5-9 on the season.
The Texans were plagued by injuries on all sides of the ball, including their coaching staff. Not only are the Texans on their third string quarterback after injuries to both Matt Schaub and Matt Leinart, Andre Johnson missed the game with a hamstring injury, and defensive coordinator Wade Phillips was in the hospital after undergoing surgery on his kidney and gall bladder.
TJ Yates played well, completing his first seven passes, but the Texans struggled to sustain drives against the one of the leagues worst defenses.
Yates was 19-30 for 212 yards and 2 interceptions, Arian Foster carried the ball 16 times for 109 yards and a touchdown.
