The Big 12 conference lost all three bowl games yesterday as Oklahoma, Texas, and West Virginia all struggled on Monday.  Cole Stoudt threw for three touchdowns and ran for another as the #18 ranked Clemson Tigers routed the Oklahoma Sooners by a final score of 40-6 in the Russell Athletic Bowl.  Oklahoma entered the game averaging nearly 40 points but didn't score until late in the fourth quarter.

As for the Longhorns, their offense struggled all night long against that SEC defense of Arkansas as they were held to a season-low 59 total yards.  Brandon Allen threw for 160 yards and two scores as Arkansas rolled to an easy 31-7 win over Texas in the Texas Bowl last night. It was the first game between these former Southwest Conference rivals since 2008 and ends a two-game skid in the series for Arkansas.

And finally the West Virginia Mountaineers fell as well on Monday, but did have the best performance of the three Big 12 teams in action.  Texas A&M erased an early 10-point deficit to defeat though as West Virginia fell 45-37 in the Liberty Bowl.

The Big 12 will look to Baylor (Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic), TCU (Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl), Kansas State (Valero Alamo Bowl), and Oklahoma State (Ticketcity Cactus Bowl) to try and earn bowl wins for the conference as each will play in the upcoming days.  All have tough opponents for said bowl games, so all will have to play well if they want to get the Big 12 in the win column this bowl season.
