Texas Tech Red Raider wide receiver Darrin Moore has been suspended indefinitely from the football team due to a DWI arrest. Moore was arrested April 13th when police noticed he was driving erratically. Moore posted bond of $1,000 and remains free.

For the Red Raiders, Moore caught 47 passes for 571 yards before he was injured during the Red Raider game with Nevada, and never returned to 100% for the duration of the season.

According to the Lubbock Avalanche Journal, Texas Tech Athletic department spokesperson Blayne Beal was quoted as saying, “He violated team policy and coach Tommy Tuberville will make sure he faces all the consequences necessary." Beal also seemed to imply that Moore's reinstatement to the team was not guaranteed.

The question for you Red Raider football fans out there is a simple one, does Texas Tech need Darrin Moore to be successful on the field this season? Do they have enough receiving depth to make up for the potential loss of Moore.

It should be noted that when Darrin Moore was healthy, the Red Raiders were 3-0, granted it was against less than stellar competition, without Moore, and with an injured Moore, the Red Raiders were 2-7.
