Texas Tech Gets 2nd Commitment From Defensive Back Who Decommitted
The time between the end of the regular season and bowl season is a frenetic, behind-the-scenes roller coaster of recruiting, especially during a coaching change.
The Matt Wells era started with five guys decommitting from the 2019 class. The decommits included a quarterback, a defensive end and four defensive backs.
One of the earliest people to leave the class was Alex Hogan, a three-star from Houston, Texas. The good news is that Hogan has met with the coaching staff and likes what he's hearing from Wells and the boys.
Hogan is back on board.
Hogan recommited to the Texas Tech Red Raiders with offers from Iowa State, Memphis and 14 others on the board. He's primarily a defensive back, but the do-it-all player also ended with nearly 1,000 yards on offense and as a returner. Hogan also had 29 tackles, three interceptions and led his team in passes defended (eight).
Alex Hogan also had a nose for the end zone, rushing for four touchdowns, returning a punt and an interception for a couple more, and two kickoffs for a total of eight touchdowns.
The Lamar product can sign in the early signing period, which begins December 19th.
