Texas Tech Basketball beat Texas for the second time this season on Saturday for a huge win, ending a three-game losing streak and putting Texas Tech back at .500 in the Big 12 at 7-7. The Red Raiders had five players in double-figures in their 68-59 win over the Longhorns.

Mac McClung led the way with 16 points, with Kyler Edwards, Kevin McCullar, Terrence Shannon and Marcus Santos-Silva all getting at least 10. Santos-Silva was a rebound shy of a double-double.

The team celebrated the huge victory in the locker room, with Shannon rocking the greatest chain I've ever seen in my life with the real double-T hanging around his neck.

The Red Raiders also celebrated on the court in front of a pretty great crowd (considering the circumstances), with Coach Beard raising Chibuzo Agbo's hand in victory after he hit two huge free throws down the stretch that sealed the game for the Red Raiders. It was a gigantic moment for the freshman.

Agbo had a block and four points in just three minutes of work.

Back in the locker room, assistant coach Ulric Maligi promised the team he'd jump in the hot tub if the team swept Texas, and that's exactly what they did. He didn't jump in so much as he was pushed in by Coach Beard.

In the post-game conference, Coach Beard talked about how the team finally looked like Texas Tech basketball after a stretch of not doing so, pointing to the balanced offense and low turnovers as Red Raiders staples.

Coach Beard thinks Texas Tech is looking better heading into March.
