Texas Gas Prices Are Beginning to Stabilize
The statewide gas price average in Texas is $2.37 per gallon heading into the last weekend of September.
$2.37 is two cents less than the average last week and 28 cents less than the current national average of $2.65.
That’s according to the AAA Texas Gas Watch Report, which also says that gas prices are stabilizing after brief price spikes following the attacks on Saudi Arabia’s oil facilities earlier in September.
AAA Texas spokesperson Daniel Armbruster says retail gas prices are now falling again in many Texas cities. The average gas price in Lubbock is $2.32, which is just one cent more than last week but also five cents less than the current state average.
