
Tennessee Titans Defensive Coordinator Jerry Gray Reportedly Contacted Texas Tech about Head Coaching Position
Tennessee Titans Defensive Coordinator Jerry Gray has reportedly contacted Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt about the head coach position at Texas Tech, according to KCBD-TV in Lubbock on Monday.
Gray, a Lubbock native and Estacado High graduate, has spent the last two seasons in Nashville running the Titans defense and has spent a total of 15 years in the NFL.
Gray played four seasons at the University of Texas where he earned consensus All-American honors twice before playing nine seasons in the NFL with the St. Louis Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Houston Oilers.
Gray continues to remain active in the Lubbock community with the Jerry Gray Foundation, which provides scholarships for graduates at Estacado High School in Lubbock.
