The Red Raiders couldn't keep up with the TCU Horned Frogs, losing by 55 points in Fort Worth Saturday afternoon.

Like with many games this season, Texas Tech fought hard the opening half, but couldn't keep that pace for the entire game. TCU put up 31 points to Tech's seven in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, TCU scored an unanswered 14 points.

"If we would have played our best, it would have been tough to beat them and we didn't do that," said Kliff Kingsbury said. "You beat like that, there's not a lot of words."

Kingsbury commended TCU's coaches, specifically co-offensive coordinator and former Texas Tech quarterback Sonny Cumbie.

"I know Sonny obviously very well," Kingsbury said. "And coach Meacham does a tremendous job with the scheme. Just overall, incredible that they've done."

The final score was a school record for TCU, topping its previous record of 69.
