Fresh off signing an offseason free agent deal with the Houston Astros, Scott Feldman (pictured) has been named the team's Opening Day starting pitcher.

Feldman becomes the second major leaguer, after Nolan Ryan, to start on Opening Day for both Texas teams.

Ryan started on Opening Day for the Astros in 1982, 1985 and 1986, according to the Houston Chronicle. He also started on Opening Day for the Texas Rangers in 1990, 1991 and 1992.

Feldman made his lone Opening Day start for the Rangers in 2010.

He signed a three-year, $30 million contract with the Astros after spending 2013 with both the Chicago Cubs and Baltimore Orioles. His career record is 51-56 with a 4.62 ERA.
