Coronado Mustangs Have 7 & Monterey Plainsmen Have 3 Earn District 2-5A Honors
The State Runner-Up Coronado Mustangs have had 7 players selected to the All 2-5A district team and the Monterey Plainsmen had 3 honored.
The Mustangs finished 2nd and the Plainsmen finished 3rd in district 2-5A behind Amarillo High.
Senior center fielder Christian Simmons earned the highest honor for the Mustangs and was named Offensive Player of the Year.
The 6 other honorees include pitcher Zach Ancell, first baseman Blake Bass, second baseman Brayden Blackwell, outfielders Brennan Johnson and Colton Palmer, and designated hitter Zane Ancell.
The Plainsmen1st team honorees were pitcher Tyler Wiedenfeld, outfielder Tyler Pridmore and designated hitter Colson Craddick.
