Police Arrest a Lubbock Teenager for Near-Fatal Stabbing
Lubbock police have arrested a teenage girl for a stabbing that occurred on Christmas Day.
KAMC News reports that police were first called to the stabbing in the parking lot of Club Snow in the 1700 block of East 4th Street in the early morning hours of December 25th.
There, they found 23-year-old Passion "Monea" Burtraw with multiple stab wounds. She was taken by EMS to a local hospital for treatment and has since been released.
A 16-year-old female has been arrested for aggravated assault in connection with the stabbing. An LPD investigation has revealed that Burtraw was stabbed 17 times, including once in the neck, after the victim and the suspect got into a verbal argument.
KAMC News reports that Private First Class D’Marcus Ranson, on leave from the Army, was at the club at the time of the stabbing and helped apply pressure to Burtraw’s most serious stab wounds and is said to have helped save her life.
