A Lubbock woman was arrested Saturday night (Dec. 29) for aggravated assault and deadly conduct.

KAMC News reports Lubbock Police were called to the 2800 block of 62nd Street for a report of shots fired. When police arrived at the scene, a man told them that his mother fired a gun at him.

Initial reports indicate the mother, identified as 57-year-old Linda Childers Perry, told her son to come over and pick up his belongings and leave the house. When he arrived at the house, Perry slammed the door on him and fired a shot through the door.

Perry told police that she fired the shot accidentally.

Perry was arrested without incident and booked into the Lubbock County Jail. Her bonds total $85,000.
