Want to have some fun at the Silly Science Carnival? It's an annual fall event for just pre-schoolers. The theme, mini-carnival, is happening right here in Lubbock at the Science Spectrum museum.

If you have young kids, this is a perfect event made just for them. No competing with the older kids; just a lot of fun activities. All the activities will happen in the Exhibit Hall and are included with standard museum admission.

Here are just some of the fun activities planned:

  • Carnival Games with Guaranteed Prizes
  • Silly Science Crafts
  • Silly Science Live Demos
  • Story Time
  • A Mini Bounce House
  • Spooky Critters
  • A Costume Parade
  • Snacks and Sweet Trick-or-Treats

This event is definitely needed and my friends with kids are super excited about it. It's somewhere they can go that is safe and for only little kids this Halloween season. Plus it is all in one and has a lot of activities because sometimes it is hard to find places to go with little kids.

The Silly Science Carnival is happening Thursday, October 28th, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It's $8.50 for adults and $7 for children (3-12) and seniors (60+). Children 2 and under get in free with an adult. Tickets to the Silly Science Carnival also include full museum admission.

The carnival is only for kids ages 5 and younger, the Science Spectrum is asking parents and kids to not dress up in scary costumes.

Parents looking for something for older kids will be pleased to know that Science Spectrum is also hosting a version of the Spooky Science Carnival the very next day for older kiddos. That one's from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, October 29th, and is focused on kids up to 12 years old.

It will include things like: free trick-or-treating, games with prizes, bounce houses, a scientist show, live animals, costume contests, experiments, crafts and so much more.

Admission to the Spooky Science Carnival is included with a regular museum ticket of $8.50 for adults and $7.00 for kids (ages 3 to 12) and seniors (ages 60+).

For more information, the public may call 806-745-2525 ext. 234 or visit their website.
