
One in Custody After Robbery and Pursuit in South Lubbock

One person was arrested after they robbed a convenience store and led Lubbock Police on a chase in South Lubbock yesterday morning.
On Sunday, December 5th, officers responded to the robbery at approximately 9:40 a.m. at the 7-Eleven location at 82nd Street and University Avenue.
Authorities were able to locate the suspect’s vehicle and a pursuit began on residential streets in the Waters neighborhood. Shortly after, officers forcibly stopped the suspect’s vehicle in the 3000 block of 74th Street. The suspect tried to continue evading, but crashed into several parked vehicles in the area.
The suspect then fled on foot but was quickly taken into custody.
The suspect, identified as Deandre Jackson, was charged with aggravated robbery, evading arrest, unlawful possession of a firearm, and failure to leave information.
Throughout the robbery and pursuit, no injuries were reported.
