No. Oklahoma City University used a great defensive performance to stymie the No. 7 Lubbock Christian Lady Chaps 60-51 Saturday afternoon in the Rip Griffin Center in Lubbock. The loss for LCU (19-4, 6-1 SAC) snaps their school record 17-game winning streak and allows OCU (23-1, 7-1 SAC) to take a half game lead in the Sooner Athletic Conference standings. OCU  extended their winning streak to nine games since losing to LCU last month 88-66 at home.

Nicole Hampton scored 18 points for the Lady Chaps while OCU was led by Tiffany Goldwire with 14 points. LCU was held to 4 of 24 shooting from three point range and only 15 second half points in the Top 10 NAIA showdown. The Lady Chaps were held scoreless for a stretch of over seven minutes and thirty-seven seconds as OCU went on a 8-0 run to take the lead for good in the second half.

LCU returns to the hardwood Monday evening hosting rival Wayland Baptist in Lubbock. Tip off is set for 5:45 p.m. at the Rip Griffin Center.
