The first notable injury during Spring Training has occurred for the Houston Astros.  Backup catcher Max Stassi (pictured) is out for six weeks after undergoing wrist surgery.

MLB.com reports the surgery occurred on Stassi's left wrist.

The 25 year-old Stassi has spent parts of three seasons with the Astros as a September call-up.

Stassi is out of options and was put into the position to be Jason Castro's backup after Hank Conger was traded to Tampa Bay during the off-season.

Once it hits Opening Day, the most likely scenario is Stassi on the disabled list and Alfredo Gonzalez on the 25-man roster as Castro's backup.
