Lubbock Woman Struck and Killed by Train in Plainview
Plainview police are investigating a train accident resulting in the death of a Lubbock woman.
KAMC News reports around 8:30 Thursday morning, police responded to the 2800 block of North Columbia for reports of an accident involving a train and a pedestrian.
When police arrived on scene, they found a woman, identified as 46-year-old Shannon Denise Clayborne, deceased.
Plainview police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. According to railway company Burlington Northern Santa Fe's Director of Public Affairs Joseph Faust, the train's lead engine was equipped with a camera, so it's possible investigators can get a better idea of exactly what happened.
