Lubbock Man Dies in Hospital After Being Hit By a Car on March 2
A Lubbock man who was struck by a car in early March was pronounced deceased at the hospital just before 4 p.m. on Thursday (March 15).
Sixty-four-year-old Cyrus Solenberger was struck by a car on the morning of Friday, March 2 as he walked into the roadway in the 6500 block of the Interstate 27 access road. The driver of the car stayed on scene and called police for help.
Accident Investigators had shut down the southbound access road between Highway 84 and 66th Street to map out the scene for their investigation. The road was closed for just over two hours.
The case remains under investigation by the Lubbock Police Department Accident Investigation Unit.
