Lubbock Golf Tournament Set for a Good Cause: Supporting Kids

The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lubbock do so much for the community and people in the area. That's why fundraisers like this one are so important.

The 17th Annual Golf for Kids’ Sake Golf Tournament is happening Friday, May 13th, 2022 at Lakeridge Country Club located at 8802 Vicksburg Avenue in Lubbock. Flights start at 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

All the money raised from the golf tournament benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lubbock. As the largest fundraiser year after year for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lubbock, this tournament is vital to helping them and their mission of providing youth with mentors services in Lubbock and the South Plains area.

By participating in this event, people will help "services remain free for recruiting and training mentors, serving families in need, and raising community awareness of the challenges faced by local children. To date, this annual tournament as raised nearly $480,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lubbock since its inception in 2006."

For almost 50 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lubbock has been providing these services in Lubbock and the South Plains area to help make the community better. The mentoring program "helps children reach their potential in life and overcome adversity by broadening their outlook on life." Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lubbock is a 501c (3) and hopes you will come out and have fun with them for this awesome event.
