
Lubbock Christian University Defeats Wayland Baptist University 6-5
Karl Seiter's late game heroics propelled the Lubbock Christian University Chaparrals to a 6-5 victory over Wayland Baptist University. Seiter had the only hit for the Chaps in the ninth inning, breaking a 5-5 tie with a walk off single scoring Paul Prestera. The hit came with two outs in the inning. Seiter finished the game 2-for-5 with two RBI and was one of four Chaps with a pair of hits, joining Lewis, 2 for 5, Bohlken 2 for 4, and Smith, 2 for 4.
With the win, the Chaps improve to 17-2 at home. They also improve to 24-11 on the season and 12-4 in Sooner Athletic Conference play. Wayland Baptist falls to 12-27 overall and 3-13 in SAC play.
