Ivonne Cook Taylor poured in a team-high 19 points leading four Lady Raiders -- three of them doing so before halftime -- who scored in double figures in the win.

Senior Amber Battle added 17 for her 16th game in double figures, while Rayven Brooks and Minta Spears added 12 and 11, respectively.

Tech (14-10, 4-8 Big 12) ended a three-game slide with its first win over Iowa State (15-8, 6-6) nearly three years to the day of the last Lady Raider win over the Cyclones on Feb. 12, 2012 in Lubbock.

Tech relied heavily on its outside shooting while sometimes playing five guards on the floor without senior forward Kelsi Baker, who sat out to nurse a leg injury sustained in Sunday's loss to TCU.

Tech was 8 of 13 from outside the arc in the first half, with Battle (14), CookTaylor (12), and Brooks (10) each scoring in double figures and hitting 6 of 11 from outside.

The Lady Raiders hit seven or more 3-pointers in a game for the fourth time in Big 12 Conference play and eighth time overall this season.

The Cyclones took a 13-11 lead nearly midway through the first half until CookTaylor and Battle ignited a 16-2 run that would carry Tech to a 44-28 lead at the break.

The team will now pack up and head to Manhattan for a 1 p.m. tipoff on Sunday at Kansas State (15-8, 5-7) on FOX Sports Southwest.
