Johnny Manziel Throws Water Bottle at Heckler During AT&T Byron Nelson Golf Tournament
According to SBNation, Manziel had been turning down autograph requests from an 18-year-old fan for about two hours before he made a taunt that irked the NFL player enough to get him to throw a water bottle.
Manziel was in Irving, TX for the AT&T Byron Nelson golf tournament when the incident happened. The report says no charges or arrests have been made, and the fan declined to press charges.
Apparently the exchange happened in the pool area of the Four Seasons Resort where the PGA Tour event is held. Police report that someone with Manziel pushed the fan and Manziel threw a water bottle.
Manziel, who went to Texas A&M, was recently released from a 10-week stay in rehab and is going through off-season workouts with the Browns.
One has to wonder if he's learned anything in his brief NFL career. He still doesn't seem to "get it." You will be hounded for autographs, and yes, fans will get aggressive and even obnoxious. But you always need to keep your cool and stay out of the news...for everything except throwing touchdown passes.
