While most of us here around the Lubbock on Sunday were mourning yet another Texas Tech loss this season, a former Red Raider was on the field up north in Canada trying to make it to the CFL championship game for the third straight season.

Former Red Raider cornerback, Jamar Wall, has been apart of the Calgary Stampeders since 2012 season and has seen his share of success as well. He is a two time CFL All-Star and has even held up the most prized possession in the CFL, the Grey Cup, which is the equivalent of the Lombardi trophy in the NFL.

This season, Wall currently has 36 total tackles on the season and has two quarterback sacks as well. His team defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the CFL’s West Division final, earning themselves a chance to compete for a championship.

For those who don't remember, Wall played four seasons at Texas Tech and was a starter for three years. Over the course of his Red Raider career, he recorded 185 tackles and nine interceptions. He was named the defensive MVP of the Alamo Bowl in 2009, his senior season, after recording six tackles and an interception against Michigan State. He was also second-team all-Big 12 Conference in 2007 after leading the team with five interceptions.

Wall was selected in the sixth round (196th overall) by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2010 NFL draft. After attending training camp with Dallas, he played for the Houston Texans and the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2010 season.

Wall was also at the post game presser, talking about the experience of having Calgary legend, Brett "The Hitman" Hart, speak to the team before the game.

Wall and the Stampeders take on the Ottawa Redblacks Sunday, November 25th at 5:00 PM CT on ESPN2.
