Former Texas Tech Red Raider and Minnesota Viking punter, Taylor Symmank is still getting opportunities to make it in the NFL, as it was announced today that the Houston Texans had hosted Symmank for a workout.

Symmank is the career record holder in gross punting average for the Red Raiders (43.6), and earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention while he was a junior. He was also a candidate for the Ray Guy Award, which is awarded to the most outstanding punter in college football, during the same season.

While the Texans are expected to re-sign veteran punter Shane Lechler, hopefully Symmank will get a chance to represent the brand at some point in the NFL.
