The Carlos Lee-era in Houston is over.  The Astros earlier today traded 1B Carlos Lee, and a substantial amount of cash, to the Miami Marlins for two minor league prospects.

The two prospects are 3B Matt Dominguez and LHP Rob Rasmussen. Dominguez will report to the Astros tomorrow in Pittsburgh for the Astros final game of their series against the Pirates. Meanwhile, Rasmussen will report to AA Corpus Christi.

Lee told MLB.com his thoughts about the trade, ""I'm OK with everything. I have no regrets. Houston is a great city and there's a lot of good people there. I had a great time there, and from now on I wish them the best. Hopefully they get started again and rebuild for the future and have an opportunity to win again."

The cash sent to the Marlins is over $8 million to cover the bulk of Lee's contract for the rest of the season.

The Astros last week had tried to trade Lee to the L.A. Dodgers, but Lee blocked the deal with his limited no-trade clause.
