The Houston Astros are now the owners of a two-game winning streak after beating the Seattle Mariners 8-3 Wednesday night.

For the second consecutive game, the Astros hit multiple home runs as their offense showed some signs of life.

The Astros got out to a 3-0 lead in the second inning after a J.D. Martinez sacrifice fly and a two-run homer by Rick Ankiel. Chris Carter and Marwin Gonzales also hit homers for the Astros in the win.

Brad Peacock pitched five innings to garner the win for Houston.

Mariners right fielder Michael Saunders left the game after the first out in the first inning. Saunders ran into the right field wall while catching a fly ball from Jose Altuve.

The Astros have Thursday off before starting a 3-game series at the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
