Thirty-six-year-old Isidro Estevan Rodriguez was arraigned late Wednesday on the two charges against him.

Bail was set at $25,000 for the Criminal Mischief charge, and $10,000 on the Burglary of a Building charge. Rodriguez remains in custody at the Lubbock County Detention Center.

ORIGINAL STORY: A group of workers at Covenant Medical Group's Southwest Medical Park, located in the 9800 block of Slide Road in southwest Lubbock, arrived to a shock on Wednesday morning.

A man, who turned out to be homeless, was making his way through the building and refused to leave when confronted by staff.

Lubbock police officers were called out to Southwest Medical Park at approximately 7:30 a.m., and began searching for the man.

According to LPD, the suspect, 36-year-old Isidro E. Rodriguez was found on the third floor and arrested without incident. Officers then found evidence of Rodriguez's presence in the building: Damaged medical equipment, and an attempt to steal medical supplies.

Rodriguez was charged with two crimes: Burglary of a Building, and Criminal Mischief, causing damage over $300,000, which is a first-degree felony. He was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center about three hours after being arrested. As of 9 p.m. Wednesday night, Rodriguez had not yet been arraigned.

According to a source, KFYO News was told that Rodriguez was possibly armed with a knife when he was arrested, but that has not been confirmed.

There were no reports of any injuries in connection with the incident, and no other people arrested.

KFYO News reached out to the Covenant Medical Group on Wednesday evening for a statement concerning the arrest, and a spokesman politely declined.
