HEB is coming to Lubbock, and they made it official Wednesday morning (August 28th) at a press conference at the South Plains Food Bank.

The 114th and Quaker Street location will open in late 2020, according to Juan-Carlos Ruck, SVP Operations, North West Food Drug Division at HEB.

The location will include a pharmacy, a bakery with HEB tortillas, sports nutrition products, a department to order online, HEB Curbside for at-store pickup, and more. HEB is also working with Favor, which boasts delivery options for beer and wine.

HEB donated a trailer full of cereal and a trailer full of produce to the South Plains Food Bank as a way of beginning their relationship with the Lubbock community, and promised to donate a trailer full of food every single month. The company also donated $25,000 to the food bank, Raider Red's Food Pantry, Lubbock Impact, and Communities and Schools.
