Joyland Amusement Park Co-Founder Passes Away at 100 Years Young

On Tuesday, August 27th, 2019, Joyland Amusement Park announced the passing of co-Founder, Katie Dean.

Mrs. Dean recently spent her 100th birthday at the park to celebrate in July.

The announcement was shared on social media for friends and family of the amusement park to pay their respects, and read in part, "We wanted all of our Facebook family to know about the passing of Joyland's co-founder. Mrs. Dean is now with her husband and friends in the Land of Joy of Heaven."

Donations as memorial are being requested to be sent to Area Community Hospice in lieu of flowers.
