There is one month of time left before the Primary Runoff elections in Texas, on May 24. Candidates are starting round up more endorsements, and on Tuesday, a major endorsement was made in the Texas House District 84 Republican Primary Runoff.

Governor Greg Abbott has officially thrown his support behind Carl Tepper (pictured, above) to replace the retiring Rep. John Frullo (R- Lubbock) in House District 84.

“Carl Tepper is a trusted conservative leader who served in the Gulf War and back home as Republican Chairman,"  said Governor Abbott. "Now, we can count on him to fight for lower property taxes and to secure our border. I urge voters in Lubbock and Shallowater to elect Carl Tepper as their next state representative."

Tepper is currently running against David Glasheen in the House District 84 Republican Primary Runoff.

"I am honored to have the endorsement of Governor Greg Abbott,” said Tepper. “I look forward to working closely with him to ensure Texas remains the best state to do business. As your next state representative, I will fight to cut and cap our property taxes, make voter fraud a felony, secure the border, and finish building the wall."

Last week, the Carl Tepper campaign announced they had received the support of the Texas Farm Bureau's AG FUND PAC. Tepper has also been endorsed by the Lubbock Association of REALTORS, the Texas Association of REALTORS, Project Destiny, 4WestTexas PAC, Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC, Lubbock Professional Police Association, Texas Municipal Police Association, the Texas Oil & Gas Association, and the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas.

Tepper has also received the support of a number of elected officials, including: State Senator Charles Perry (R- Lubbock), State Representative Dustin Burrows (R- Lubbock), State Senator Drew Springer (R- San Angelo), Shallowater Mayor pro-tem Chris Cody, and Shallowater Alderman Kyle Yaeger.
