Early voting has been down across the State of Texas since voting began on October 24. That includes here in Lubbock County where numbers continue to be lower than they were in 2018.

But there is still time for you to cast your ballot and let your voice be heard. Early voting continues on Friday with most voting locations opening at 8:00 a.m. and closing at 8:00 p.m. In Lubbock County, you are able to vote at most United Supermarkets and there are other locations to vote as well.

If you don't vote on Friday, then Election Day on Tuesday, November 8th is the day that you will get to cast a ballot. And that's when we will probably see many people vote across the state. Some wait until Election Day to vote out of habit while others are maybe listening to former President Donald Trump who has encouraged supporters to wait until Election Day to cast votes.

Many experts are anticipating a "red wave" during the midterms meaning the Republicans are favored in polls around the nation in a number of races which means Republicans could take back the U.S. House of Representatives and Republicans also have a chance of winning a majority in the U.S. Senate.

For more information on where and how to vote in Lubbock County, be sure to visit the Lubbock County Elections office. You can even see a sample ballot on the site.

On Tuesday, November 8th, tune in 7 p.m to 10 p.m. on KFYO for Election Night Coverage. KFYO will cover results locally, statewide, and nationally as well, plus your phone calls and texts.
