Former Texas Tech assistant coach Brian Burg recently got a head coaching job at Georgia Southern and has poached the Texas Tech Basketball Chief of Staff Tim MacAllister to join him at his new program.

MacAllister joined the Red Raiders after their first trip to the Elite 8 in 2018. Before his Texas Tech tenure, MacAllister helped lead Creighton to back to back NCAA tournament appearances after an NIT birth in his first season. MacAllister was also named to the NABC's 2019 Under Armour 30-Under-30 Team, a group selected as 30 of the most outstanding men's college basketball coaches under the age of 30.

"Tim MacAllister is one of the most detailed and organized individuals I have worked with in my coaching career," Burg told gseagles.com. "He has the winning intangibles that embody Georgia Southern basketball, and success has followed him throughout his coaching career."

I expect big things from Burg and MacAllister in year one at Georgia Southern.
