Garth Brooks and Kliff Kingsbury worked together to help kids in this terrific effort.

During his stop at Jones AT&T Stadium, the country music legend shared great insights into how sports helps these kids build skills they'll need in life and explained how he and Kingsbury have put their heads together on this project.

The two covered a lot of ground in just a few minutes at an impromptu press conference on the field at Jones AT&T Stadium Sunday morning, April 2nd. As Brooks speaks, Kingsbury nods agreement.

"The truth is the underlying thing here are the words of wisdom, courage, discipline, respect...things they are going to need to play the game of life...and so the whole thing is love, it's my favorite thing..." Brooks said.

Brooks co-founded Teammates for Kids about 20 years ago. Reports from cities around the country show him taking time during his tour stops to get out with Teammates Procamps.

It was a real blessing for our Lubbock kids to have this incredible experience. Brooks touched a lot of lives and made a terrific difference on his five-show, four-day tour stop here. We can't say it enough: Thank you so much, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood.
