On Wednesday, September 8th, four Lubbock men were indicted for various offenses related to sex crimes.

KAMC News reports that Michael Karl Dent was indicted for enticement and attempted enticement of a minor between April 1st and June 23rd of 2021. On top of this, he was also indicted for attempted production of child pornography. That happened around May 2nd, 2021. Prosecutors are asking to confiscate Dent's cellphone.

The second man, Casey Earl Bratcher, was indicted for similar charges, enticement and attempted enticement of a minor and attempted production of child pornography. Like Dent, prosecutors have asked permission to permanently confiscate Bratcher's cellphone.

A third man, Sabas Rodriguez, was indicted for four counts of possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor, and one count of transportation of child pornography. All of these counts were said to have taken place on February 9th, 2021. Prosecutors are asking to permanently take Rodriguez's laptop hard drive and cellphone.

The fourth and final man, Billy Joe Heiser, was indicted for failure to register as a sex offender between February and August of 2021. It's said that Heiser has a criminal history involving a 1996 conviction in Oregon for Sodomy in the First Degree and Rape in the First Degree, which happened in 1994. Court records say Heiser had an obligation to register as a sex offender for life after he served his sentence in Oregon.
