The Kansas City Chiefs are in a predicament with the NFL salary cap.

The predicament is that they have very little space to make moves. They have re-signed a few wide receivers and added some veteran offensive lineman, but haven't had a flashy signing while they decide what to do with defensive tackle Chris Jones.

Until now, that is.

The Chiefs have made a splash by adding veteran NFL running back and former Raider DeAndre Washington.

It might not look like a big signing now, but the Chiefs have made a living off of this style of running back since Kareem Hunt was booted from the team. Washington will fit better in Kansas City than he ever did in Oakland and has a real chance to carve out a role for the first time in his young career.

Washington spent four seasons with the Oakland Raiders and has 1,122 career rushing yards and seven touchdowns on the ground. He also has 88 receptions for 613 yards in his career, which is an obvious bonus in the Chiefs offense.

I know one guy who is especially happy to have Washington join the Chiefs:

Reunited and it feels so good.
