The Lubbock Police Department continues the search for five suspects who are connected to a home invasion that happened on New Year's Day.

KAMC News reports that it all happened a bit before 4:30 p.m. on January 1st, 2021 in the 1300 block of 24th Place.

The victim had just returned to her apartment and said that she heard people talking in her backyard before she heard the back door being kicked in. Five people, four of which were wearing all black and ski masks, entered the apartment. The 5th suspect wore a red hoodie and a ski mask.

The suspects quickly noticed the victim hiding behind her couch and demanded she give them all of her valuables. She was patted down and even had a gun pointed to her head.

One of the suspects demanded to know where any money in the apartment was. The victim said there was some in a kitchen drawer.

The suspects searched the apartment and fled the scene with two TVs and the money the victim told them about. They fled through the apartment's back door, then through a side gate on the west side of the apartment. An officer located a broken window on the west side of the apartment that had a blood stain on it.
