Lubbock Police Believe the Same Man Broke Into 3 Homes Within A Week
Lubbock Police believe that a series of home invasions were all committed by the same suspect.
According to an LPD press release, on Thursday, February 17th, a suspect committed 2 home invasions within the 5600 blocks of Duke Street and Emory Street. This happened between 8:20 a.m. and 8:40 a.m. The suspect apparently tried to enter a 3rd home in the same area, but failed.
Then, almost a week later on Wednesday, February 23rd, another home invasion happened in the same area: the 5600 block of Emory Street.
The suspect, believed to be the same from the week before, forced his way into the home and struck the homeowner with a firearm. The extent of injuries the homeowner sustained or whether or not the suspect took anything from the residence wasn't made clear.
The suspect is described by police as a Black male between the ages of 25 to 30, standing between 5'9" and 6 feet, and weighing 170 to 200 pounds. In each incident, he was wearing black, dark gray or dark navy pants, a similar color hoodie with the hood pulled over his head and black shoes.
During each of the aforementioned incidents, the suspect was in possession of a firearm, so if you see the suspect, it's asked that you do not approach him and call 911.
