Dallas Cowboys Starting Center Likely to Start Camp on the PUP List

Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl center Andre Gurode most likely will open training camp on the

team’s physically unable to perform list as he works his was back into football shape.

The decision regarding the Cowboys starting center is not final yet, but Gurode underwent a knee scope a little over three weeks ago and has just now been cleared by doctors to run at this stage.

Gurode hasn’t missed a start in the last three seasons and has missed only two over the last five years. Being on the PUP list means his roster spot won’t count towards the 90-player limit until he is cleared for practice. The Cowboys will also likely place rookie LB Bruce Carter on the PUP list as he continues to rehab his torn ACL injury from last November.
