Dallas Cowboys Sign Third-Round Draft Pick Tyrone Crawford

The Dallas Cowboys announced Wednesday they’ve agreed to terms on a four-year contract with defensive-end Tyrone Crawford.

Crawford, a third-round pick, played his college ball at Boise State where he led the team in sacks and tackles for loss during 2011.

Since joining Dallas he has suffered a calf injury that left him sidelined during most of the organized team activities and the first day of the team’s mini-camp.

Crawford is now the fourth rookie draft pick to reach an agreement with the Cowboys. The others who have done so are wide receiver Danny Coale, tight end James Hanna and linebacker Caleb McSurdy.

The Cowboys still need to sign top pick Morris Claiborne, and fourth-round picks Kyle Wilber and Matt Johnson, who is still waiting to be cleared for practice. Johnson has been ineligible to participate because classes at Eastern Washington haven’t been completed this summer. Johnson could be able to practice on Thursday.
