Dallas Cowboys Owner’s Grandson Receives Offer From Texas Tech Football
John Stephen Jones is the son of Stephen Jones, executive vice president, CEO, and director of player personnel for the Dallas Cowboys. He's also the grandson of the team's notorious owner Jerry Jones.
John Stephen Jones is a senior at Highland Park and has been lightly recruited by Arkansas, Texas and others. Texas Tech is his first Power 5 scholarship offer.
I'm not sure why Texas Tech is the first school to offer the defending 5A State Champion quarterback. He's in the middle of a second straight playoff campaign. You can see some 2017 highlights here:
According to maxpreps.com, Jones had over 3,000 yards and 30 touchdowns as a Junior compared to just seven interceptions. Jones led the Highland Park team to an 11-1 record in the regular season and play Mansfield Summit on Friday, December 1st at 7:30 p.m.
Wile John Stephen Jones could certainly help on the field, it would also help Texas Tech to have the endless pockets of Jerry Jones as a booster.
