Dallas Baptist (31-13) scored 3 runs in the 2nd inning and 5 runs in the 6th to take out Texas Tech (28-20, 9-12 Big 12) 11-1 Tuesday night at Dan Law Field in Lubbock.

Robbie Kilcrease (4-3) took the loss for the Red Raiders pitching 3 1/3 innings giving up 5 runs, 3 earned, on 2 hits and 3 walks in the second consecutive mid-week home loss in Lubbock for Texas Tech. Stuart Pudenz (2-1) earned the victory in relief by pitching 2 innings with 3 strikeouts.

Kelby Tomlinson went 2 for 4 at the plate for Texas Tech and reigning Big 12 player of the week Stephen Hagen went 1 for 4. Texas Tech only garnered 5 hits in the game while the Patriots had 11 hits.

Texas Tech is off for the next week for final exams before returning to the diamond May 10-11 as they travel to Ann Arbor, MI for a 2 game mid-week series with the Michigan Wolverines. Dallas Baptist heads to College Station this week for a 3 game series against No. 6 Texas A&M.
