The convenience store business is changing. Customers want to see clean stores, healthier foods and more options these days. 7-Eleven is well aware of the changing taste and attitudes. That's why they've launched their fifth Evolution type of store in the Dallas area. What they've come up with is really awesome.

Not only is the new concept a nice big convenience store, but 7-Eleven has also included a restaurant concept. For this new location at 13635 Preston Rd. in Dallas, Texas, they've partnered with Laredo Taco Company, a brand we know well out here in West Texas. Oh, and the big change? A huge outdoor patio where customers can hang out and eat food, have margaritas and beer that is on tap. Yes, this is a 7-Eleven.

According to Dallas Culture Map, those are just a few of the changes to 7-Eleven:

In addition to custom espresso drinks and cold brew coffee, customers can also enjoy refreshing organic smoothies and shakes, vitamin infused sparkling water, and even a Wine Cellar with an enhanced and expansive selection of wine — alongside old-school signatures such as Slurpee drinks, Big Bite hot dogs, and Big Gulp fountain beverages.

Oh yeah, this concept store also has a humidor featuring premium cigars. Once again, this is a 7-Eleven. Amazing, right?

When can we expect to see one of these in Lubbock? It will probably be a while as 7-Eleven is testing these Evolution stores across Dallas first to see what works and what doesn't work, but I'm excited to see what they come up with and what they eventually roll out to other markets.
