Caught On Camera: Bison Attacks Young Girl at Yellowstone National Park
Wednesday morning, the Today Show on NBC aired a warning for viewers who might be thinking of visiting a National or State Park where bison are free to roam.
In the NBC story, a 9-year-old girl can be seen being tossed into the air as others run to avoid the charge of a bison bull. Fortunately, the young girl did not sustain any serious injuries, but park officials are cautioning interactions with wild animals.
This story is not uncommon during the summer as tourists take to the parks in order to take in the beautiful scenery and fascinating wildlife.
Most parks do well to keep guests separated from animals, but for parks like Caprock Canyons State Park or Yellowstone National Park, the animals are free to roam. So it's even more important that humans take extra caution to avoid a tragic situation.
