Texas Tech Hosting Kentucky Will Be the Biggest Home Game Ever
The Big 12 / SEC challenge matchups have been announced, and boy, howdy is Lubbock, Texas in for a gigantic matchup.
The Red Raiders will be hosting the Kentucky Wildcats in January when the challenge rolls around. It's the one-seed vs. one-seed matchup everyone will be frothing at the mouth to see.
Head Coach Chris Beard is putting Texas Tech into the national picture, and this is just another piece to the puzzle.
By the time Kentucky rolls into town, Texas Tech will be riding a 54-game winning streak in non-conference home games at the United Supermarkets Arena, assuming the Red Raiders take care of business in the first seven home games of the season.
The win streak, the probable rankings of the two teams, a potential College Gameday appearance -- this game is shaping up to be the biggest non-conference game in Texas Tech history, especially at home in the USA.
It's hard to know what the game will be like for sure, but Kentucky has reloaded again with the number two recruiting class in the country and Texas Tech is trying to build on the incredible momentum it's built as a program in the last two years.
