The Texas Tech Lady Raiders will have to fight another day in terms of getting their first Big 12 Conference win of the season. Wednesday night, #7 Baylor (21-3, 11-1) beat Texas Tech (6-18, 0-13) 75-58 at the United Spirit Arena.

Baylor's Odyssey Sims put her team on her back for the whole night.  Sims scored 30 points on 11/19 shooting, with six of her field goals being three pointers. One other Baylor Lady Bear scored in double digits: Nina Davis with 13 points.

The Lady Raiders were led in scoring by Jasmine Caston. Caston scored 19 off of the bench in 31 minutes on the floor. Other double digit scorers for Texas Tech were Minta Spears (pictured) with 14 and Amber Battle with 13.

Even with losing again to Baylor, Texas Tech Lady Raider head coach Candi Whitaker was pleased with her team's effort, "We played a 100 percent different than we did at Baylor," she said. "At Baylor, we were very tentative, really didn't hook it up and play. I thought the feel of our team was totally different, that they wanted to compete and wanted to do whatever they could to give themselves a chance to win."

Baylor had a 10 point lead at two different points in the first half, settling on a halftime score of 31-23.  As a team, Baylor finished the game with a 42% field goal percentage and 46% shooting from beyond the arc.
