Alabama Leads the First Set of 2012 BCS Rankings
Seven weeks have now elapsed in the 2012 college football season and the first set of BCS Rankings have been released.
Last year's national champion, the Alabama Crimson Tide, is ranked #1 as they have a (6-0) record. Four SEC teams are ranked in the top 10 as joining Alabama are Florida, LSU and South Carolina.
For the first time in a number of years, Notre Dame has joined the national conversation as the Fighting Irish are ranked 5th.
The Big 12 has six teams ranked in the BCS top 25 and two in the top 10. Kansas State is ranked 4th and Oklahoma is ranked 9th. Texas Tech, by virtue of their win over West Virginia, is ranked 17th in the BCS.
