A Second Arrest has Been Made in Connection to a 2021 Murder
A second suspect in connection to a murder case from 2021 has been issued a warrant while already in custody. The Lubbock Police Department issued a statement in regards to the arrest of 19-year-old Adam Villarreal.
Villarreal was arrested back on April 5th of this year and was served a with a murder warrant while in custody at the Lubbock County Detention Center on multiple unrelated charges. The long list of Villarreal's charges include Possession of a Controlled Substance, Harboring a Runaway Child, Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle, Unlawful Carry of a Weapon in a Prohibited Place If At Trial, Evading Arrest Detention, Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, two separate charges of Possession of Marijuana, two separate charges of Theft of a Firearm, and two separate charges of Burglary of Vehicles.
Villarreal is the second person in connection to the murder of 30-year-old Domingo Siri and the injuring of 20-year-old Cleotis Johnson back in September of 2021. The first person arrested in connection to the incident, 20-year-old Catelyn Pina, was arrested on October 5th after absconding from police and eventually turning herself in to U.S. Marshalls. Pina has remained in the Lubbock County Detention Center on a Murder charge in lieu of a $500,000 bond. Villarreal remains in custody at the Lubbock County Detention Center, as per the publishing of this article, with a now combined bond of $697,500.
