Here are some interesting facts you should know about the new golden boy of the golf world, 21-year-old professional golfer and Texas native Jordan Spieth.

He's the second youngest person to ever win The Masters

Spieth won The Masters at just 21 years old. Tiger Woods also won at 21, but was actually a few months younger than Spieth at the time.

Another comparison between golf legend Tiger Woods and Jordan Spieth is that Spieth is the first since Tiger to win his first two majors. The world's no. two became just the sixth man in history (after Craig Wood, Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods) to win the Masters and US Open in the same year. Spieth is also the first player since Gene Sarazen (in 1922) to win multiple majors at age 21 or younger.

Jordan Spieth will attempt to win his third major in July

Spieth will be traveling to The Open Championship, otherwise known as the British Open, in an attempt to keep his winning streak alive.

Spieth is halfway to a golf Grand Slam, which has only been done by one person: Bobby Jones. Tiger Woods came close, but won all four majors over two calendar years rather than one.

Experts are saying Spieth has only a 1 percent chance of completing a Grand Slam. Partly because Rory McIlroy will be at the British Open and he is ranked as the no.1 golfer in the world, with Spieth being no. 2. The British Open will surely be exciting because of this show down.

Jordan Spieth has a special needs sister

Spieth has two siblings, a younger brother and a younger sister. His sister, Ellie, is autistic and he deems her as his inspiration.

The Jordan Spieth Family Foundation has a primary purpose of finding better educational solutions for people like Ellie. He also buys her a special key chain from everywhere he travels.

No one else in his family plays golf

Both of Spieth's parents played basketball growing up, but no one played golf. His mother bought him plastic clubs as a toddler to occupy him while she watched over his younger brother. Now his younger brother, Steven, plays college basketball at Brown and Jordan is a golf champion. Who would have guessed?

His girlfriend attended Texas Tech University

Jordan and his long-time girlfriend, Texas Tech alumna Annie Verrett, have been together through it all.

Growing up in the Dallas area, the two attended high school together where they first began their relationship.

Verrett attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, where she was a business major with a 4.0 GPA and member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Meanwhile, Spieth attended The University of Texas at Austin.

The couple maintained their relationship through her graduation. Verrett now works as an event coordinator at The First Tee of Greater Dallas, an organization which uses golf to improve the lives of children.
